Simple Pizza Dough

Whether you use our award winning Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, or one of our delicious flavoured oils, you won't be disappointed with this 5-ingredient recipe. Our oils are also perfect for drizzling over your pizza before or after cooking.
Our Smoked Chilli Dressing also makes for an easy win if you brush the base with this before loading with your favourite toppings.
Makes 2 large pizza bases
INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, or try one of our flavoured oils
320g strong white flour, plus extra for rolling out
½ tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
Half a 7g sachet fast action dried yeast
150ml warm water
METHOD
Start by pre-heating your oven to 230C / Fan 210C / Gas Mark 8.
Using a food mixer with a dough hook, mix together the flour, salt, sugar and yeast on a slow speed. Add the Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and the water and mix for 5 minutes on a higher speed to create a soft, smooth dough.
Leave in a warm place until the dough has doubled in size. Remove from the bowl and knead it gently back to its original size. Cut the dough in half and shape each piece into a ball. Using a rolling pin on a surface lightly dusted with strong flour, roll the dough out into a large thin, round shape.
Place the pizza base on a round baking tray or pizza stone and cover with your favourite toppings. Bake for about 10 minutes until the base is crispy and the top is cooked through.
We love to use one of our flavoured oils and drizzle over our pizza when it comes out the oven. Pizza perfection!
